Cargill has completed a $100 million expansion of its cocoa processing facilities in Yopougon, Côte d’Ivoire, a move that adds significant volumes to the company’s cocoa-grinding capacity.
Cargill has launched a soluble rice flour, SimPure 92260, that exhibits similar taste, texture and functionality as maltodextrin, an ingredient commonly used as a bulking agent and flavor carrier.
Companies will explore growing cocoa in controlled environments.
