Global food and agri-business Olam International Limited announced that it has acquired an 85 percent share of YTS Holdings Pte Limited for a consideration of USD $90 million, which is 100 percent owner of PT. Bumitangerang Mesindotama (“BT Cocoa”).

Olam sought to purchase BT Cocoa to capitalize on Asia’s trajectory to become the largest global consumer of cocoa powder.

Olam Cocoa marked the opening of its latest Cocoa Innovation Centre in Willowbrook, Ill. on April 27.
