Hollywood stars aren’t the only ones nominated for best of the best categories – a couple of snacks are in line to take home some trophies of their own.

Miami, Fla.-based Burger King Corp. has been nominated for “Best Corporate Brand Licensee of the Year” by the Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association (LIMA), according to IMC Licensing, who works with companies to build brands through licensing.

Marketed by The Inventure Group, based in Goodyear, Ariz., the license was brokered by Broad Street Licensing Group for its line of branded Burger King Onion Rings, which were introduced last September and are round, crispy puffed snacks bursting with zesty onion flavor and containing 0 g. trans fat.

Likewise,Jack Link’s A.1. Meat Snacks, which were launched in 2006, also were nominated for “Best Corporate Brand Licensee of the Year,” a press release states. The 97% fat-free snack blends the savory taste of America’s favorite steak sauce with slow-cooked, tender slices of 100% beef.

The 2009 International Licensing Excellence Awards, presented by LIMA, will take place at the LIMA Opening Night Awards Party on June 2 in Las Vegas.

Good luck to both nominees.
