Dylan’s Candy Bar is planning to open its fifth store, and this one will be in Chicago.
The Chicago Tribune reports that the boutique confectionery store is looking to open up the new location in spring 2015.
“We are beyond excited to launch Dylan’s Candy Bar Chicago this spring,” Dylan Lauren says in a statement to the Tribune. “Opening a store in Chicago, the city where many candy entrepreneurs started companies and experienced the American Dream, is a ‘personal’ dream come true.”
The new store is slated to open at 445 N. Michigan Ave. in the space left vacant in theTribune Tower after the McCormick Freedom Museum closed in 2009, the Tribune reports.
For those who just can’t wait until spring, Dylan’s will give Chicagoans a taste of what’s to come with a pop-up store on Michigan Ave. in November.
Dylan’s currently has a flagship location in New York, as well stores in Los Angeles, East Hampton and Miami. Its products are also distributed at luxury and hip boutiques, department stores and hotels in America and abroad.
The stores were started in 2001 by Dylan Lauren, the daughter of fashion designer Ralph Lauren.
