Playing to the savory side of sweet, three-time SOFI winner Poco Dolce introduced at the show its Spicy Peanut Brittle available in two flavors, Sea Salt and Spicy. Hand-pulled and made with roasted peanuts, California butter and green Mexican chiles, the confection evokes chocolatier/owner Kathy Wiley’s nostalgia for brittle, but with a kicked-up adult taste. It’s San Francisco-based Poco Dolce’s first non-chocolate product and designed to fill demand for sweets during the summer heat when shipping chocolate becomes dicey. Spicy Peanut Brittle is available in resealable, standup, 4-oz. pouches retailing for $7.99.
Sweet & savory, chocolate & cheese, and product socialability
