Barbara Luicjkx christens new plant in Poland
Barbara Luijckx, a Belgian-Polish joint venture,
celebrated the grand opening of its new 3,000-sq.-meter (32,300 sq. ft.)
production facility in Inowroclaw, Poland on Sept. 27. The company, which
produces a wide range of professional decorations, cups and toppings as
well as unique hand-made sugar decorations for the confectionery and
catering market, employs 70 people and operates two shifts.
Dignitaries attending the grand opening included Inowroclaw officials, President Ryszard Brejza and Mayor Lech Skarbinski, as well as Luicjkx Chocolates’ executives, Theo Graban and Ad Vergauwem.
In addition to the traditional ribbon cutting ceremonies, initiated by Barbara Luicjkx’ managing directors, Barbara and Ryszard Borowicz, the opening ceremonies included live music and a sumptuous banquet.
