Richardson Brands consolidates manufacturing to New York facility
The largest maker of rock candy, Richardson Brands will
consolidate manufacturing to its headquarters’ facility in Canajoharie, N.Y.,
near Albany, moving production from several plants elsewhere in the United
States. The amalgamation will temporarily suspend production at the factory to
make the necessary operational changes.
“The Richardson plant in Canajoharie provides the company
with space for significant expansion of production and for increased
proficiency,” says Don Butte, ceo of Richardson Brands.
As a result, the company will begin producing Richardson mints, Dryden & Palmer rock candy, Bogdon
Reception Sticks and Beechies Gum brands at the 180,000-sq.-ft. facility in Canajoharie.
