Printpack Inc. will construct a new plant in Rhinelander, Wis. this fall as part of a production efficiency initiative.
Because of the additional capacity created by the new plant, the company will close its Hendersonville, N.C. location and transition the business to the new facility, which will take place in the second half of next year.
“The decision to close Hendersonville was very difficult for us,” says Dennis Love, president and ceo at Printpack. “However, our goal has always been to provide our customers competitively priced, high quality packaging materials, utilizing the best technology available.”
Printpack Inc. is a privately held manufacturer of flexible and specialty rigid packaging headquartered in Atlanta. Employing 4,220 associates worldwide, the company operates 28 manufacturing facilities in the United States, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Poland and China.
