They say good things happen in threes, and that’s certainly the case for Shearer’s Foods, Brewster, Ohio. The snack manufacturer recently won two awards and made an acquisition that has allowed it to introduce three new products, as well.
First, Shearer’s was selected as a winner of the NEO Success Award, which honors the most successful private, public and emerging companies in Northeast Ohio. This is the 11th consecutive year that Shearer’s has been recognized by the program, which has been around since 1994 and celebrates the region’s top-performing businesses that create jobs and momentum in a challenging economy.
Next, Shearer’s was honored at the 93rd Annual Massillon Area Chamber of Commerce Dinner with the Business of the Year Award, which was accepted by Shearer’s CEO Bob Shearer.
Last, but not least, Shearer’s has introduced three new pretzel products, produced at its recently acquired pretzel manufacturing operation in Canonsburg, Pa. The new Thins, Minis and Sticks come in 1-lb. bags and are being made with a new pretzel recipe that gives them “extra snap,” according to a release. The product will come in bright harvest-colored packaging and retail for $2.79 a bag.
