Algae butter is a drop-in replacement for butter, shortening, or margarine, and can be used in sauces, laminated doughs, cookies, cakes and buttercream icings. It is among the most sustainable alternative fats, is trans fat free, and has up to 50 percent less saturated fat than palm oil and butter.
