pladis, owner of snacking brands such as McVitie’s, is to launch a new software system to enhance its global safety, quality, security and environmental (SQSE) operations.
Pladis CEO Cem Karakas will step down from his executive role for family health reasons, effective immediately, the biscuit, chocolate and confectionery company announced Monday.
Though this marks only the second year pladis has exhibited at Sweets & Snacks Expo, it continues to aggressively build on its debut last year with a broad range of “new ventures,” says Brian Blanchard, managing director of pladis americas.
Getting the word out about the newly formed company takes time, pladis’ new exec admits, but a bevy of strong brands makes him optimistic about the future.
pladis is a London-based global biscuit and confectionery company founded in 2016, which brings together Yildiz Holding’s iconic brands Godiva, McVitie’s and Ulker under one umbrella. Candy Industry chats with its new ceo,Cem Karakas, about goals and strategies.
