As the premium chocolate division of Mars, Inc., Ethel M emphasizes its tradition of creating handmade and preservative-free confections. However, over the last two years the brand has looked for ways to “reposition itself” and make new connections, Young says.
The $2 million project will refresh the store experience with an updated look, new interactive elements, expanded retail space, and additions to the cafe menu.
“To help consumers decide what to give their Valentines, we’ve created a list of seven personality traits that align with different types of chocolate,” explains Jessica Ruttman, marketing manager at Ethel M Chocolates.
