HARIBO of America has introduced three products sure to sweeten up any candy lover’s Valentine’s Day.

Made with allulose, a natural sweetener, Pink Panda currently has three varieties: Treasure Chews, Gummy Bears and sour Astro Blasters.

Gilbane Building Company will be responsible for all construction and work-site management. Construction on HARIBO of America's 136.8-acre facility is going to begin as soon as possible in 2020.

Lauren Triffler, head of corporate communications for HARIBO, recently spoke to Candy Industry about the company's century-long legacy, plans for the new facility and what’s next for the gummy manufacturer.

The Pleasant Prairie Plan Commission conditionally approved the final site and operational plans for Phase 1 of the facility on May 11. Construction is expected to begin following the groundbreaking.

In partnership with the National Forest Foundation, gummy brand Black Forest will donate $500,000 to help plant 1.5 million trees across U.S. forests that have been impacted by wildfires by the end of 2022.

Ferrara Candy Co. announced its organic Black Forest bears, known for a soft, chewy texture, will have a brighter color starting July 15. 

The Lovely Candy Co. has expanded its range of premium confections by adding gummy bears made with honey.
