Chicago Metallic Bakeware, a Bundy Baking Solutions company based in Humboldt, Tenn., has acquired Lockwood Manufacturing Inc., Brantford, Ontario, which makes professional bakeware, including bun/sheet pans, perforated/display trays and knock-down bakery racks.
Chicago Metallic Bakeware assumes management of the stock-pan business, while Pan Glo, a Bundy Baking Solutions company based in Urbana, Ohio, now operates the Lockwood glaze plants. Both the Chicago Metallic and Pan Glo operations will be overseen by Robert Bundy, who has been appointed managing director for the Canadian plants.
Chicago Metallic Bakeware plans to upgrade all glaze plants, including updating equipment, switching to AMERICOAT Plus silicone release coating and establishing Pan Glo service standards. Canadian customers will also have access to new stock pan selections from Chicago Metallic through the Brantford warehouse.
Meanwhile, Lockwood’s custom-made baking pan customers will be served by Urbana, Ohio-based American Pan, another Bundy Baking Solutions company and a manufacturer of custom industrial baking pans.
“We are thrilled with this new venture and the opportunity to build lasting relationships in the Canadian market, and we look forward to offering these bakeries the benefits of our products and services,” says Chicago Metallic Bakeware president Gil Bundy.
