Dare Foods Ltd., Kitchener, Ontario, has appointed Peter Luik president, effective Oct. 1. He will be responsible for all aspects of the company, as well as for overseeing the next chapter of Dare's growth, as the company draws on its strong heritage to continue to provide Canadians with quality products.
Luik joins the company with more than 23 years of professional experience in food brands. Most recently, he was president and CEO of Heinz Canada, where he delivered outstanding annual sales and profit growth and consistent quarterly achievement.

Luik also serves on the board of directors and acts as a subcommittee chair for two key industry associations, Food and Consumer Products of Canada and Food Processors of Canada, and holds a cabinet chair position for the United Way.
