Equipment Snapshot: ULMA Packaging has made design improvements to its Sienna flow pack wrapper, resulting in higher performance levels, according to Harpak-ULMA. The redesigned cross sealing jaw station features a new sealing head design that easily achieves speeds of up to 75 packs per minute, increasing productivity 20-25 percent, says the company. Incorporated into the wrapper, a new HMI has an embedded industrial PC, which improves accuracy through precise control of the axes of motion and movements, resulting in higher packaging speeds.
