Mondelez International has joined forces with the Fairtrade Foundation to extend the snack and confectionery giant’s Cocoa Life sustainability program to Cadbury-branded products.

Four confectionery and snack giants have partnered with the Zurich-based Jacobs Foundation to improve education and support women and families in cocoa-producing communities of Cote D’Ivoire.

Barry Callebaut will acquire the Halle, Belgium, chocolate production facility belonging to Mondelez to expand its production capabilities. The two companies will enter into a long-term agreement for the supply of an additional 30,000 tonnes of liquid chocolate per year.

The Barry Callebaut Group announced its intention to acquire and integrate the chocolate production facility of Mondelēz International in Halle, Belgium.

The announcement, made Wednesday at Barclays Global Consumer Staples Conference,  comes a week after the Illinois-based snack and confectionery giant halted discussions with The Hershey Co. about acquiring the company.

Mondelēz International has introduced Nabisco Honey Maid Dippers Graham Snacks, now in the perfect shape for dipping.

The new biscuits, backed by consumer insights and the strength of India's beloved malted beverage Bournvita, will target the morning segment and hit shelves May 1.
