Chuck Phelan’s career in the food business started in 1985 working as a sales representative for a food broker in the Philadelphia, Pa. area. Just three years later, Phelan started work for Nestle Foods, holding various sales positions before moving to the company’s industrial chocolate business in 1996. Phelan worked for Peter's Chocolate until 2002, when Cargill -Wilbur Chocolate acquired the Peter's Chocolate business from Nestle. Currently Phelan is the district manager at Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate representing Peter's Chocolate, Wilbur Chocolate, Veliche Belgium Chocolates and Gerken's Cocoa products based out of the Philadelphia area.
He currently lives in the West Chester, Pa. area with his wife Gina and their four boys. He coaches youth basketball and enjoys watching his children compete in football and basketball. He is also an avid sports fan and follows all of the Philadelphia sports teams.
